Transformers, Snow White, & Power Rangers!

We are now a family of superheroes and Princesses! We took the boys to get their costumes and they both wanted to be the black Power Rangers. Alex saw it first and then Anthony dug through to find one his size- and he found the last one! This is the third year that they've been the same thing, but they seem to enjoy doing that- for now! Alexis is Snow White this year and Alyssa will be a bundled up bunny in the stroller as we push her through the cold next week. Last night we watched Transformers and the kids loved it! Anthony has heard a lot about it at school so we finally got it to watch and it was good. It's not normally my type of movie, but I really enjoyed it. There was a couple of not so good words at the beginning so we just talked over them and said "this is a cool movie" lol. We want to go get a few movies edited to get rid of all the cuss words that I know the kids will eventually hear in school or where ever, but they don't have to hear them in our home!
Every since I was 12 weeks pregnant with Alex I've been in the same sandals even in the winter so this year I decided I needed to get some real shoes and I got to say I had forgotten how nice new shoes are! I'm a size 8 so needless to say I don't have Hancock feet! ha ha Don't worry I do have the Hancock early grey hair thing so I didn't miss out there. That's about all that's going on with us other than full force potty training Alexis. She's been taught a little bit, but I wanted to focus on Alex getting all trained before moving on to her and now he's done which has been saving us a lot of money. To think of having just one in diapers - can't wait! From April- August I had three!
This week Anthony is learning about the letter "K " and his new favorite thing to do is to say what word starts with what letter. The whole way down to St. George he would be like "cat starts with a c" or "stop starts with a s" ha ha - I know it's cute it's just there are so many words and he is a talker....... ALex and Lexie napped and Lysie Brits just kept smiling at him as he would talk. Anthony pointed out that there arn't words on a license plate just a bunch of weird letters with numbers. Have a good day! xo The jewels

Weekend is over!!!!

I know it's Wednesday, but I'm still celebrating that the weekend is over! Company just left yesterday. We had a fun time at Jacob and Jenny's on Sunday and it was fun to see everyone celebrate their little baby after blessing her earlier at church. Having said that we had company for four nights so it does wear me out! I'm just not a people person when they're in my space! ha ha Today I plan to do my typical house work and play with the kids cause even they miss their routines! Alex said he was getting tired of sharing his toys and Anthony asked when he could sleep on his bed again! They had a blast with their cousins I just think they missed our quiet house- believe it or not I do keep a pretty quiet house most of the time. This morning Anthony had a rough start cause he took on of his Ben Ten toys and was stabbing at one of our big bouncy balls and it popped. He said he didn't mean to do it and I asked him what he thought would happen! lol Lesson learned. Off to go start my day! Love, Julie- Oh, hey did anyone watch Ellen yesterday?

Update!

Hi! So let's see I suppose I should start with Anthony who is a perfect little guy! I know I'm bias and all, but really he is just so good unless he is tired then he's quite the opposite! ha ha Yesterday he told Alex "be nice to me and give it to me cause I'm too tired to be nice". ALex said "ok" and gave him his toy to use. Funny. Times like that I try to sit back and observe while they work things out. He had a fun doctor's visit yesterday and got a coin to put in the gum ball dispenser so he picked out a big eye gum ball. He is now 50 pounds and is a perfectly healthy! He has over productive ears so he makes more wax, but that just means I have to wash his ears out everyday- sometimes twice. Doctor said most kids out grow that so that would be nice......Anthony now takes a shower and washes his own hair in the morning- so big! Alex is still a rough boy with a huge heart. He loves to hold ALyssa on the couch while we read books. I am teaching him a lot these days, but he prefers Anthony to teach him! When Antnee comes home Alex will ask him what he learned and then if Anthony tells him a letter he'll say "write it for me". I never thought Alex would be the kind to care to learn as he is as playful as they come. He is now 35 pounds just got some new Spiderman shoes! Lexie is our "doll" atleast that's what we call her. She has gotten easier on me the past couple of weeks and yesterday she went potty twice so that's exciting! Oh, also we went to get her a costume and she picked out a SNow WHite! That was so exciting for me! I didn't try to sway her either way she just loved it and it fit so that means for the next three weeks she'll be SNow White... Can you blame her for wanting to wear it? lol She loves her sister and her and Ant are close, but Alex and her are competitors on many levels. She knows all of her colors- finally! I think she's known them for a while, but is now not being stubborn cause all of a sudden last week she said what every color was whenever she saw something. It was cute, but then she went too far....... "Look mom that is green grass" lol No, it's cute I just don't do well with people repeating things over and over. Alyssa is a sweetie! She is now 14.1 pounds and 26.5 inches long. She is 25% for weight and 60% for height and Dr. Dowse said her heart sounded perfect! They check for murmurs at every well check. Oh! Anthony got his blood pressure checked yesterday and it was perfect! ALyssa still doesn't have any teeth, but I'm OK with that! Can you believe I'm still breastfeeding her! I can't...... Something worth sharing is yesterday ALex was looking at my Book Of Mormon and he said "I miss Jesus Christ" then he asked what cloud Heavenly Father lived on. How cute! I've been showing them church cartoons and they love the story about Moroni. It is nice having a church book store here. We want to get the Noah's Arc story for them and then one about Daniel and the Lions Den. ALright! That's about all that's going on with us! xo

Random.......

This week we are doing some Halloween shopping! I know I'm not the mom who can make cool costumes, but hey I like the store ones just fine! ha ha Anthony wants to be batman and Alex wants to be Flash (a super hero) Alexis wants to be Supergirl instead of a princess which is kinda sad to me. ha ha Oh well next year I'll brainwash both of my girls to be princesses or something else girly- just kidding- kinda. Alexis wants blue eyeshadow the way Supergirl has it and she will be in a cute skirt so that will be kinda girly. Last night the girls took a bath together and had a blast and then a few minutes into it Alexis said "wow mom Alyssa is a girl like me!" So observant...... Justin took both of the boys out to run some errands and we took a long bath closing the door to "keep the boys out" as Lexie put it. Yes, even I got in which made it really crowed! Last night we had cheesy tortillas, salad, and corn for dinner which I know is odd, but I let Alex and Lexie each pick a veggie. Anthony was grading the cheese and he cut his thumb and it left two markings that look just like the cheese grader! I wanted to pass out or run away, but I managed to keep it together for Anthony's sake. He was fine, but no longer wanted to grade the cheese which I can't blame him. Next time I'll suggest he do it again though. So all this talk about kids- the thing is we don't date as we are strapped at home and we have our Grey's, but last night we were talking about finding a young women in the ward that we can trust for a couple of hours to help us from time to time. We love that we cuddle up every night to a show so it's not a big deal it's just we'd like to start dressing up for one another again from time to time. Also, I do think it will be good for the kids. Now hopefully we can find someone. Oh one last exciting note! Alyssa now poops solid! ha ha I know that's sick to share, but it sure is a big deal to me! ha ha Oh, the joys of motherhood! This weekend is General Conference so I'm looking forward to that as I plan on going to the church with a couple of friends on Saturday during one session- without Alyssa cause Justin is off this whole weekend! I'm studying the book of John in the bible (duh) so that's what's going on in my adult life. I hear all this talk about women losing themselves in motherhood and I admit I do which I look at as the phase of life I'm in it's just I am trying to do something for myself too. Right now I'm working out and reading the bible consistently and am enjoying more "me" time- even if I only get a few minutes a day to do both! lol

OK- OK- HERE I AM !!!!!!!! LOL

Hi! I haven't been on very much the past few days cause Justin has been off of work and we took a day trip to Salt Lake City & got to see Park City. It was really neat to see the Olympic Park there and see the slopes that have the Olympic sign on them. We kept wondering how crazy it must have been for such a little town to host all those events and especially at the top of the mountain where there is really no room. Guess all that's needed is a photographer huh? Salt lake is just twenty minutes down the hill from Park City so we went there and walked temple square which the kids just love to do. Anthony thought seeing how the temple was built was so neat and Alex loved the temple's lights and he was in awe. It was especially neat to take Alexis there since last time we were there she was a two pounder in the nicu! This week that area will be so crowded as it is conference weekend! Well, it was a fun one day get away, but glad to be home! Anthony is at school and the middle ones and I get to use our new flash cards today and Alyssa is back to practicing her rolling again. I held her a lot while we were gone or she was in the stroller or car seat so she is thrilled to be back to rolling and stretching on her living room floor again. Next Wednesday she goes back to the doctor for her six month well check- hard to believe! Justin says it will be much easier on him when she's a year old cause he can never remember how many months old she is when people ask- he sometimes doesn't even know how old he is. ha ha I'll be on later!
