Random.......

This week we are doing some Halloween shopping! I know I'm not the mom who can make cool costumes, but hey I like the store ones just fine! ha ha Anthony wants to be batman and Alex wants to be Flash (a super hero) Alexis wants to be Supergirl instead of a princess which is kinda sad to me. ha ha Oh well next year I'll brainwash both of my girls to be princesses or something else girly- just kidding- kinda. Alexis wants blue eyeshadow the way Supergirl has it and she will be in a cute skirt so that will be kinda girly. Last night the girls took a bath together and had a blast and then a few minutes into it Alexis said "wow mom Alyssa is a girl like me!" So observant...... Justin took both of the boys out to run some errands and we took a long bath closing the door to "keep the boys out" as Lexie put it. Yes, even I got in which made it really crowed! Last night we had cheesy tortillas, salad, and corn for dinner which I know is odd, but I let Alex and Lexie each pick a veggie. Anthony was grading the cheese and he cut his thumb and it left two markings that look just like the cheese grader! I wanted to pass out or run away, but I managed to keep it together for Anthony's sake. He was fine, but no longer wanted to grade the cheese which I can't blame him. Next time I'll suggest he do it again though. So all this talk about kids- the thing is we don't date as we are strapped at home and we have our Grey's, but last night we were talking about finding a young women in the ward that we can trust for a couple of hours to help us from time to time. We love that we cuddle up every night to a show so it's not a big deal it's just we'd like to start dressing up for one another again from time to time. Also, I do think it will be good for the kids. Now hopefully we can find someone. Oh one last exciting note! Alyssa now poops solid! ha ha I know that's sick to share, but it sure is a big deal to me! ha ha Oh, the joys of motherhood! This weekend is General Conference so I'm looking forward to that as I plan on going to the church with a couple of friends on Saturday during one session- without Alyssa cause Justin is off this whole weekend! I'm studying the book of John in the bible (duh) so that's what's going on in my adult life. I hear all this talk about women losing themselves in motherhood and I admit I do which I look at as the phase of life I'm in it's just I am trying to do something for myself too. Right now I'm working out and reading the bible consistently and am enjoying more "me" time- even if I only get a few minutes a day to do both! lol

It's hard to remember all the comments I want to make about your blog because once I get to this posting place I can't see your blog....
IT'S good your getting in some "myself" moments, that's important for women to do so we don't burn ourselves out on others and forget ourselves. You know what I meant to say!
So how is Anthony's grated knuckle? Was the cheese good tasting? LOL
I had a good time last night with my "girlfriends" time..I just got a note today from Linda saying she'd like to do that more often(besides spades),get together and watch a chick flick, etc. Sounds good to me...
I got a couple of items for some little holloween bags for the kids at school today. Got em pumpkin stuff so we can call it "harvest" celebration, that was Tammi and I feel safe not to make any parent unhappy with us just in case.Got em each a holloween pencil and I'm going to get em each a little sharpener and a couple pieces of candy in each bag too. Monday I'll have them hang the 15' strand I got . They have already decorated the windows with their holloween pix.
Not much else going on here. Just got back from a visit with the ancient people..they are both fine. Gramma and I are going to the womens day church thing in Sac on the 20th.Figure it will be nice for she and I to have a day together without the men...
Talk to ya soon!Tell me when it's a good time to give Anthony a call after school Julie. I can call him when I'm at work for a few minutes. XO

Motherhood..wonderful! I remember the bathtub fun well. Kids sure love to get wet and play till they turn to prunes. The pictures of the kids are so darling Pat..thanks for posting them. Lexie is a ham isn't she? And the little one is a clone of Julie! Hee Hee! I'm happy to report that Barb and her little ones are dong good. To quote her, "your coming over to spend a week with us is huge Mom!" She and I are looking forward to laying in bed and just talking, laughing and crying together. that is something that we have not been able to do since she was a small child. I'm blessed! The pre-trial hearing that was scheduled for Fri 10-5 was postponed again till 11-4...forensic results not back yet..at this rate the trial won't beging until Feb next year...WHAT A WORLD! Post to my blog girls...I look for your comments there everyday...Thanks! love your sister and auntie
