Thanksgiving!

It has been so long since I've posted on this and so much has happened..... Halloween was a blast and I will try to make it a priority to put some of those pictures on here. I made a turkey this year- and it was pretty good! I am not a big turkey person, but Justin and the kids are and they're still eating it so that's good I suppose. It was nice to have just us this year so we could do without all the extra foods we don't like anyway such as cranberries, yams, and gravy. Justin and I have very bland tastebuds- we don't even buy ketchup or mayo and the only reason our kids know about is from going to grandma simmons house. They all get it on their burgers now! lol Mashed potatos and warm rolls are the best for me on Thanksgiving! We have a tradition of always having sparkling cidar and then before going to bed instead of having reading time we sit down with the kids and help them to write letters to santa. Anthony thought of fifteen things and said that santa will have a "selection to choose from". ha ha Alex loves dinosaurs now and Lexie gets excited over anything pink or girly. Not sure she is mine! Alyssa now sits up and still refuses a bottle. The other day I took a hour long walk knowing she was hungry when I left and Justin was determined to give her a bottle. Well, she cried for about ten minutes and then fell a sleep in his arms and then as soon as I walked in the door she woke up and if she smelt me. She ate a lot and then was back to her perky self- brat! She will eat rice chex, cheerios, baby veggies, and loves macaroni and cheese. I gave her a few bites of pumpkin pie with some cool whip and she loved it! I think bread makes her gums feel good cause she doesn't have any teeth yet. One tooth has flirted with coming in a few times but then doesn't- which I am ok with as I am still feeding her. Even Lexie had a couple of teeth at her age. Lexie is struggling with potty training right now unless she is in a mood to care to use the toilet so I'm starting to get tougher on her. We have a sticker sheet up and when she goes she gets to pick out a sticker and put it on and I think I'll think of something to do when she has two accidents in a row. Potty training sucks! ha ha Well, off to go clean the house, but will write more when Anthony gets home cause he asked me yesterday when he could write about himself.

Transformers, Snow White, & Power Rangers!

We are now a family of superheroes and Princesses! We took the boys to get their costumes and they both wanted to be the black Power Rangers. Alex saw it first and then Anthony dug through to find one his size- and he found the last one! This is the third year that they've been the same thing, but they seem to enjoy doing that- for now! Alexis is Snow White this year and Alyssa will be a bundled up bunny in the stroller as we push her through the cold next week. Last night we watched Transformers and the kids loved it! Anthony has heard a lot about it at school so we finally got it to watch and it was good. It's not normally my type of movie, but I really enjoyed it. There was a couple of not so good words at the beginning so we just talked over them and said "this is a cool movie" lol. We want to go get a few movies edited to get rid of all the cuss words that I know the kids will eventually hear in school or where ever, but they don't have to hear them in our home!
Every since I was 12 weeks pregnant with Alex I've been in the same sandals even in the winter so this year I decided I needed to get some real shoes and I got to say I had forgotten how nice new shoes are! I'm a size 8 so needless to say I don't have Hancock feet! ha ha Don't worry I do have the Hancock early grey hair thing so I didn't miss out there. That's about all that's going on with us other than full force potty training Alexis. She's been taught a little bit, but I wanted to focus on Alex getting all trained before moving on to her and now he's done which has been saving us a lot of money. To think of having just one in diapers - can't wait! From April- August I had three!
This week Anthony is learning about the letter "K " and his new favorite thing to do is to say what word starts with what letter. The whole way down to St. George he would be like "cat starts with a c" or "stop starts with a s" ha ha - I know it's cute it's just there are so many words and he is a talker....... ALex and Lexie napped and Lysie Brits just kept smiling at him as he would talk. Anthony pointed out that there arn't words on a license plate just a bunch of weird letters with numbers. Have a good day! xo The jewels

Weekend is over!!!!

I know it's Wednesday, but I'm still celebrating that the weekend is over! Company just left yesterday. We had a fun time at Jacob and Jenny's on Sunday and it was fun to see everyone celebrate their little baby after blessing her earlier at church. Having said that we had company for four nights so it does wear me out! I'm just not a people person when they're in my space! ha ha Today I plan to do my typical house work and play with the kids cause even they miss their routines! Alex said he was getting tired of sharing his toys and Anthony asked when he could sleep on his bed again! They had a blast with their cousins I just think they missed our quiet house- believe it or not I do keep a pretty quiet house most of the time. This morning Anthony had a rough start cause he took on of his Ben Ten toys and was stabbing at one of our big bouncy balls and it popped. He said he didn't mean to do it and I asked him what he thought would happen! lol Lesson learned. Off to go start my day! Love, Julie- Oh, hey did anyone watch Ellen yesterday?

Update!

Hi! So let's see I suppose I should start with Anthony who is a perfect little guy! I know I'm bias and all, but really he is just so good unless he is tired then he's quite the opposite! ha ha Yesterday he told Alex "be nice to me and give it to me cause I'm too tired to be nice". ALex said "ok" and gave him his toy to use. Funny. Times like that I try to sit back and observe while they work things out. He had a fun doctor's visit yesterday and got a coin to put in the gum ball dispenser so he picked out a big eye gum ball. He is now 50 pounds and is a perfectly healthy! He has over productive ears so he makes more wax, but that just means I have to wash his ears out everyday- sometimes twice. Doctor said most kids out grow that so that would be nice......Anthony now takes a shower and washes his own hair in the morning- so big! Alex is still a rough boy with a huge heart. He loves to hold ALyssa on the couch while we read books. I am teaching him a lot these days, but he prefers Anthony to teach him! When Antnee comes home Alex will ask him what he learned and then if Anthony tells him a letter he'll say "write it for me". I never thought Alex would be the kind to care to learn as he is as playful as they come. He is now 35 pounds just got some new Spiderman shoes! Lexie is our "doll" atleast that's what we call her. She has gotten easier on me the past couple of weeks and yesterday she went potty twice so that's exciting! Oh, also we went to get her a costume and she picked out a SNow WHite! That was so exciting for me! I didn't try to sway her either way she just loved it and it fit so that means for the next three weeks she'll be SNow White... Can you blame her for wanting to wear it? lol She loves her sister and her and Ant are close, but Alex and her are competitors on many levels. She knows all of her colors- finally! I think she's known them for a while, but is now not being stubborn cause all of a sudden last week she said what every color was whenever she saw something. It was cute, but then she went too far....... "Look mom that is green grass" lol No, it's cute I just don't do well with people repeating things over and over. Alyssa is a sweetie! She is now 14.1 pounds and 26.5 inches long. She is 25% for weight and 60% for height and Dr. Dowse said her heart sounded perfect! They check for murmurs at every well check. Oh! Anthony got his blood pressure checked yesterday and it was perfect! ALyssa still doesn't have any teeth, but I'm OK with that! Can you believe I'm still breastfeeding her! I can't...... Something worth sharing is yesterday ALex was looking at my Book Of Mormon and he said "I miss Jesus Christ" then he asked what cloud Heavenly Father lived on. How cute! I've been showing them church cartoons and they love the story about Moroni. It is nice having a church book store here. We want to get the Noah's Arc story for them and then one about Daniel and the Lions Den. ALright! That's about all that's going on with us! xo

Random.......

This week we are doing some Halloween shopping! I know I'm not the mom who can make cool costumes, but hey I like the store ones just fine! ha ha Anthony wants to be batman and Alex wants to be Flash (a super hero) Alexis wants to be Supergirl instead of a princess which is kinda sad to me. ha ha Oh well next year I'll brainwash both of my girls to be princesses or something else girly- just kidding- kinda. Alexis wants blue eyeshadow the way Supergirl has it and she will be in a cute skirt so that will be kinda girly. Last night the girls took a bath together and had a blast and then a few minutes into it Alexis said "wow mom Alyssa is a girl like me!" So observant...... Justin took both of the boys out to run some errands and we took a long bath closing the door to "keep the boys out" as Lexie put it. Yes, even I got in which made it really crowed! Last night we had cheesy tortillas, salad, and corn for dinner which I know is odd, but I let Alex and Lexie each pick a veggie. Anthony was grading the cheese and he cut his thumb and it left two markings that look just like the cheese grader! I wanted to pass out or run away, but I managed to keep it together for Anthony's sake. He was fine, but no longer wanted to grade the cheese which I can't blame him. Next time I'll suggest he do it again though. So all this talk about kids- the thing is we don't date as we are strapped at home and we have our Grey's, but last night we were talking about finding a young women in the ward that we can trust for a couple of hours to help us from time to time. We love that we cuddle up every night to a show so it's not a big deal it's just we'd like to start dressing up for one another again from time to time. Also, I do think it will be good for the kids. Now hopefully we can find someone. Oh one last exciting note! Alyssa now poops solid! ha ha I know that's sick to share, but it sure is a big deal to me! ha ha Oh, the joys of motherhood! This weekend is General Conference so I'm looking forward to that as I plan on going to the church with a couple of friends on Saturday during one session- without Alyssa cause Justin is off this whole weekend! I'm studying the book of John in the bible (duh) so that's what's going on in my adult life. I hear all this talk about women losing themselves in motherhood and I admit I do which I look at as the phase of life I'm in it's just I am trying to do something for myself too. Right now I'm working out and reading the bible consistently and am enjoying more "me" time- even if I only get a few minutes a day to do both! lol

OK- OK- HERE I AM !!!!!!!! LOL

Hi! I haven't been on very much the past few days cause Justin has been off of work and we took a day trip to Salt Lake City & got to see Park City. It was really neat to see the Olympic Park there and see the slopes that have the Olympic sign on them. We kept wondering how crazy it must have been for such a little town to host all those events and especially at the top of the mountain where there is really no room. Guess all that's needed is a photographer huh? Salt lake is just twenty minutes down the hill from Park City so we went there and walked temple square which the kids just love to do. Anthony thought seeing how the temple was built was so neat and Alex loved the temple's lights and he was in awe. It was especially neat to take Alexis there since last time we were there she was a two pounder in the nicu! This week that area will be so crowded as it is conference weekend! Well, it was a fun one day get away, but glad to be home! Anthony is at school and the middle ones and I get to use our new flash cards today and Alyssa is back to practicing her rolling again. I held her a lot while we were gone or she was in the stroller or car seat so she is thrilled to be back to rolling and stretching on her living room floor again. Next Wednesday she goes back to the doctor for her six month well check- hard to believe! Justin says it will be much easier on him when she's a year old cause he can never remember how many months old she is when people ask- he sometimes doesn't even know how old he is. ha ha I'll be on later!

Grey's Continues!

So tonight there is a new Grey's on, but don't tell me what is happening- ok? LOL See, Justin and I still have five episodes from season two and then all of season three to watch until we start watching the ones we've tivo-ed. I know we're big nerds about this! ER is new tonight and we still have Law and Order SVU and a couple of other shows to watch and we watched three Grey's last night. Perhaps we'll take a break from that show tonight!
This morning Anthony woke up at 6 after falling out of bed and that woke up Alex. Then Alexis woke up cause she heard a "monster" in the boys room so we found us all awake way too early! Justin and I gave everyone showers and breakfast and then he took Anthony to school on his way to work and now I'm here with two happy and slighty tired kids. ALyssa slept until 7:30 so she is favorite one today! ha ha She sleeps all night again so that is very much appreciated!
So last night right after dinner the door bell rang and it was UPS- Mom I LOVE the necklace! It's perfect and now I see why it was "made for you" as you said. Awesome! Thank you! I almost called you when it came, but then realized you were at work. Alex and Lexie want to trade colors though cause ALex likes blue and Lexie loves red. ANthony says he loves the blue that represents him. Tonight we're having a fun tv dinner night! The kids all got to pick out their own Kiddy dinners last night and Justin got a hungry man one and I got a mini pizza for me. To the kids it's just the coolest thing ever! I think we'll go outside and play some catch afterwards while it's still warm enough to be outside. The days are numbered........ Hope you girls are having a good day! I know we're all so busy, but this is a way fun to stay in touch. Mom, I hope the kids are well behaved for you today and Aunt K. I hope you have peace at work also! xo

Alex's ER visit! Don't worry he's fine.....

Last night we put all the kids to bed at a decent time and then Justin had to go to work for a couple of hours. Well, when I was chatting with my mom Alex came out and I heard him say "I have a bloody nose as he was leaving his room". It was odd cause he clearly didn't have a bloody nose and then he said his cheek hurt. He fell a sleep again and I just figured either his face fell a sleep or his imagination got the best of him- common for him at night! About twenty minutes after falling a sleep he was up again and said his ear hurt really bad so I gave him some Tylenol and told him we would take him to the doctors today and he was cheerful and then fell a sleep again. Well, about a hour later he woke up and was nice, but clearly in pain and just uncomfortable. At 3:45 Justin took him to the er, and they were home at 4:40 which is just not heard of in bigger towns. We all had colds last week and the doctor said that his sore throat spread to his ear and it had gotten infected. His other ear is a little bit red, but the one ear is pretty bad. Alex was happy when he came home and said the doctor was really nice and gave him two sticks to play with. He is on some antibiotics which is just the second time in his life. I think he must have thrown up sometime last night though cause there's a bucket by him on the couch and Justin has the fragrant spray near...... Alex is acting fine and said he chocked, but I'll ask Justin about it when he wakes up. I was up at 7 to get Anthony ready for school and he is already off and I've already fed Alyssa too. Lexie is still sleeping! Justin will be going to work in a hour and then he'll be home around 4 today so it will be nice for him to have a shorter day. Off to go feed Alex as he says he is finally ready to eat! Love, Julie P.S. Thank goodness our kids have insurance!

What do I put here!

Actually, I think Aunt Kathy said it right when she said "random thoughts" ha ha. Yesterday was a good day and I was so eager to do a bunch of things, but I just didn't care enough to get going. It was nice to sleep without a cold until after feeding ALyssa (at 5 am)I started to get that annoying choking cough that sometimes comes at the end of the cold. I went out to the couch and watched some oprah I had tivoed and fell a sleep sucking on a cough drop. We've been kind of dumb when it comes to getting enough sleep- I'll explain. Justin started to watch Grey's Anatomy last year when he worked nights to help him to stay awake and he kept telling me how much he liked it and that he needed to watch season three before this new season starts. Well, I decided to start watching it with him, but he insisted that I start from season one to "really know" the charactors. It has been a blast and thankfully Hollywood video has had all the seasons we've needed when we've needed them. So far we've finished season one and are almost done with season two. Next Thursday season four starts and I'm excited for it, but it's a good thing we have tivo cause we still have a lot to see! We've been watching 2-4 episodes a night for the past two weeks and it's been so much fun. From time to time we will have snack or potty breaks and then we'll get back to the show. It is so not me to sit that long and do any one thing, but I really do love the show! Do you guys watch that show? I've always been a huge ER fan and Justin kept telling me this show is way better. I won't say it's better I just think they are so different you can't compare. So the reason I even brought this up is to say that we need more sleep! lol We prefer to be with our kids doing something with them in the evening so we don't start to watch tv until they're a sleep so we already start out kinda late as they don't go to bed until 8. Well, off to play with Alex and then it will be time to go get Anthony and I get to hear about how his day went. Today he got to order books from the first book fair. Next Friday is his first picture day! Have a good one! xo

Better!

It has been a really, really long past few days! On Sunday I started to feel really bad and I was so uncomfortable I wasn't even able to sleep much! I know I should be happy that I don't get the flu or at least I haven't since I was a kid, but this cold was bad! I was lucky though because Justin was off on Sunday and Monday and then he was able to leave work a few hours early yesterday so he could help me out and play with the kids who have for the most part all been ok. The boys have been a little tired and Alexis has a "old man" hack, but no runny noses, fevers, and any other issues so I'm thrilled about that! Also, I do have to brag about Justin cause he made extra last night when he was cooking dinner so that I wouldn't have to make lunch today and instead just heat the food up. Growing up I was spoiled about two things- my birthday and when I was sick. Pretty much I was spoiled if I was sick and if it was my birthday it was my special day. Years ago Justin learned he HAD to continue that treatment and it's so nice. Not to say that I like to be sick, but it is nice to have someone bring your drinks, make your baths , and all around pamper you from time to time. lol In other news.......
Anthony stayed home from school today cause he kept sleeping and sleeping and I figured he was sick or really needed the sleep. Sure enough him and Alex slept in until 10:30 which has NEVER happened. They both woke up extra perky and requested breakfast. Alexis and Alyssa are doing really good! Lexie likes to bring her toys and she keeps saying over and over that now she has a "pretty sister". Alyssa does respond differently to different people not in a better or worse way just different. If Alexis walks up to her she will start to smile right off the bat. All of the kids love their baby and they especially love to feed her baby food. As of now Alyssa loves rice cereal, apple sauce, and sweet potato's.
Mom and Aunt k, I will be on your blogs tomorrow, but for now I'm gonna go rest a little bit! Also, I want to read to the kids and play with them a bit. Love ya both, Julie

Anthony's school

Anthony goes to Three Peaks and his teachers are named Mrs. Levine and Mrs. Barney. Today he learned how to sit down on the rug- a special rug with squares and circles. His classroom is full of pirates and ships which I must say is really cool to look at. He came home with a stamp from doing something good, but does not remember what it could have been that he did so right! ha ha He says five is his favorite number and he nows love the color orange mostly because he is excited for halloween- a long ways away for him to get excited about!
The kids and I had a fun day! Yesterday Alyssa went to see Dr. Dowse and he said she was perfect at 13.4 pounds! Off to give the boys a bath! xo

Bus stop

Anthony loves taking the bus and even has a couple of friends at the stop. This morning he met up with two boys who were talking about spitting and I stayed behind to make sure he was safe, but I didn't want to step on his shoes so to speak. He called Alex over to meet his friends and then I heard them all talking about who could spit the best. Alex said "I can spit to the trees" and they all started laughing hysterically which was cute although if they were actually spitting my opinion would differ. Boys sure do get excited about weird stuff! When the bus got there Anthony actually ran over to me and hugged me and signed that he loved me and then he ran back to get on the bus. Alex and Alexis were eager to get home to have breakfast since I had to wake them up in order to take Anthony to the bus stop. Just last week they would all be up before me and would play quietly for a few minutes until Lexie got hungry and then she'd be sure to wake me for her "corn chexy". I think they will all be tired tonight early especially Anthony who will have had 6.5 hours of learning today! The younger ones and I still have a busy day ahead of us full of walking, doctor appointments, and then we'll be going to meet Anthony at the bus stop and will go shopping this evening. At 9 the women from my ward and their kids meet up at the corner and go for a walk which I have yet to join in on, but since I now have a early start and we're all dressed we may as well go. Alyssa has her well check today which will include two shots and that will be harder on ALex and Alexis to see happen then it will be for her to get.
Yesterday was a fun day at church and Anthony was eager to see his friends from school. Alex and Lexie have a new nursery leader and Justin helps out with the class which is no biggy since the class is just twelve kids and two are ours.

Saturday

Well today we realized why Justin normally works Saturday and also why we avoi542d the parks on Saturday! lol It was fun just pretty packed with people. We all had meat, cheese, and crackers and then the kids rode their bikes for a half hour. There is a neat play ground so the kids enjoyed that too and then it was time to come home. This evening there is a city festival at the main street park so we'll check that out once it cools off a bit. It's nice to me, but 80 is too hot for Justin to be walking around a whole lot and with his skin type and Alex's I can't say I blame them. We had to soak Alex up with sunblock today!. Alex is adding to this today! Oh, some exciting news is he can now play Thomas on the computer all "by myself" ! lol Gotta love the independent stage! Here he is!!!!!!! 6i87k888oo8o6vo88o98o8o8887877888889090- ---'-']=]02452828825699+9*9*----

Anthony!!!!!!!

Today Anthony had a fun day at school and like usual I met him at the bus stop with Alex, Alexis, and Alyssa in tow. He smiled at me and then kept walking past me and then continued to walk with his new friend Sammie who is a second grade girl. He was in front of us the whole time and from time to time would look back and smile at me. Alex normally tries to keep up with Anthony, but there were so many fun puddles for him to play in on the way home. Anthony learned how to sound out some words and he got to draw his own face and decorate his class by hanging the face on the wall in his classroom. So far he is adjusting well to school and even though he says he misses Alex and I -I can tell he really is ready to be out in the world! I just asked Anthony is he cared to add to this today (he helped me put it together last night) and he said he needs a break from thinking right now, but maybe after he is done eating his carrots! lol

Alyssa Britney

Alyssa Britney was born April 10Th 2007 and has been the worlds easiest baby! She is back crawling and will laugh and smile a ton! It's been fun to have a new baby and watch the older kids enjoy her as they all still think she's the coolest thing ever! Her nick name is Lysie and I named her middle name Britney because growing up it was my favorite name and then it just had a nice flow with Alyssa. We didn't find out her gender which was the most exciting thing ever and I'm amazed I could do it! It was something Justin always wanted to do and he didn't think I'd be able to not know so I had to prove him wrong as well as my mom, kim, Jenny and probably everyone else who knows me!

Alexis Kristene

Alexis Kristene was born on December 10Th 2004 almost two months early and was just 2.8 pounds at birth. She was a perfect two pounds though and is now a perfect 26 pound two year old. She loves Red, and her first favorite toy phase is Hello Kitty. She loves new clothes and also loves to put on make- up with me. She is a fiesty little girl who loves to play with her big brothers and she also knows how to be the pesty little sister! lol She has the cutest little dances she does and she loves all of the songs that are in Shrek. She loves to give out hugs and she loves all the attention she can get. One of her favorite things to do it to visit with her Uncle Jordan.

Alex Justin

He was born on January 21st 2004 and has been the family clown every since. I know I shouldn't label my kids, but he really is a clown MOST of the time. He loves Blue and superman and will pretend he is superman at least once or twice a day. This January he will be going to a formal preschool, but right now he loves being taught by mommy everyday and he is super happy he can write his name and say the alphabet. Anthony and him are best buds and they really do balance one another out for now which I'm sure means they'll clash later in life! LoL. Nothing can melt you like Anthony's smile and nothing can melt you like Alex's laugh. I used to be afraid of having boys and now I can't imagine not having them!

Kids!

Anthony Ryan----------

He was born on December 20Th 2001 and has always been the intellectual type. Even as a young baby he would try to figure things out and tried to "fix" cabinets and other things just as soon as he could crawl to them. He loves Yellow and Green and right now loves Superman and Flash. He started Kindergarten on the 28Th of August and he loves it! His teacher is Mrs. Barney and everyday he comes home with a exciting stort to share about his day. In a couple of weeks he will be able to have sharing time at school and he said he wants to bring in his whole family to show us off- hopefully that will excite his friends! ha ha

Our Family!

We are the Justin & Julie Anderson family!
Justin is a manager at Love's, but he really just delights in being a father! He was raised in Wrightwood, California and grew up in a huge family so our backgrounds are really quite different. His favorite color is Blue and he loves a good comedy and is for sure a "Red" personality.
As for me (Julie) I am a proud stay at home mom who has four kids and the oldest is only five and a half! I used to make fun of women who had so many young kids and here I am loving every minute of it! Thankfully Justin helps out a ton so I don't ever feel too over whelmed although I have my days, but who doesn't! I was raise in Riverisde, California with just one sister although now I have four step brothers and one step sister! I love purple, red, chick flicks and I am a "white" personality.
